So, like you, I cherish the times with my young nieces and nephews. We provided strong boundaries and a listening ear, and they both flourished in that environment. Our son took quite awhile to realize how happy his childhood really had been, but he has truly become the man I always envisioned he could be. But, I was able to take her and myself to group grief counseling, and it helped both of us tremendously. She learned to love the new me and I was able to be more present over time. I do learned to look at there faces and study them and being there and when I am I feel whole. I want remember what my heart loves to do and do it.  While I cannot do all of these things in one day, I can do some of them. My child thanks me for helping her clean her hamster’s cage, making her breakfast, sitting beside her to watch The Voice, and taking care of her when she’s not feeling well. We recently went hiking with her three cousins. We didn’t realize the trail would be quite so rigorous so little Kate needed to be carried quite a bit. It was an interesting moment time.
